RESEARCH AND TEACHING
Dr. Vajdovich’s research has focused primarily on the theoretical and practical issues of oral enossal implantation. He was the first in Hungary to develop and use high purity aluminum-oxide bioceramic implants in clinical practice. He also participated in the development of state-of-the-art dental implant systems made of unalloyed titanium. Dr. Vajdovich developed several new surgical methods and procedures for dental implanting. He was among the first to adopt different surgical methods of autologue bone transplantation in correcting deficiencies of the jaw bone. In his professional work, Dr. Vajdovich has cooperated closely with the Department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Szeged University. He is a lecturer, and he has served on the department’s board of examiners. He regularly teaches theoretical and hands-on trainings in oral surgery and implantology. These accredited courses are currently organised in cooperation with the Department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery at the Budapest Medical University. |
